TTCIH Information resource centre aims to serve both academic and research requirements. It is basically a medical library that focuses on providing reading materials for Assistant Medical Officers (AMOs), tutors, and short course participants from different parts of the world.


Opening Hours: The library is open from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Modern Teaching Laboratory

Possible Courses: Involved in giving hands on practical experience in parasitology and other laboratory diagnosis procedures in tropical/developing countries.
Tests carried out:
* Giemsa and field stains for testing blood parasites such as malaria and filarial worms
* Urine sediment analysis for Schistosoma haematobium
* Stool parasite analysis, direct and formal ether or SAF concentration methods * Gram staining to detect respiratory bacteria causing non TB pneumonia and to detect disease causing faecal bacteria such as Vibrio cholerae
